Our General Inspection Checklist
Safety inspection:
- Check warning lights, service interval, and warning messages.
- Check wiper blades and washer jets for proper alignment or clogs.
- Check front and rear brake pad thickness and rotor condition. Measure brake rotors if dished or grooved.
- Check tires and record tread depths, inspect for punctures, and adjust tire pressure to OEM door tag pressures.
- Check engine oil level and condition if possible.
- Check coolant level and condition.
- Check brake fluid using the hydrometer and inspect color and consistency.
- Check power steering fluid if equipped.
- Check transmission fluid and level if possible.
- Check engine and cabin air filters.
- Check the axles, driveline, transfer case with the vehicle hoisted.
- Check the vehicle for fluid leaks from the topside and undercarriage.
- Check suspension and steering components. Check control arm bushings.
- Check exterior lights and horn.
